Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This standard replaces LY/T 1619-2004 "Garden Machinery Portable Power Hedge Trimmer", compared with LY/T 1619-2004, the main technical content changes are as follows.

--- Modify the standard name "garden machinery portable power hedge trimmer" to "garden machinery powered by gasoline engine Hedge trimmer"

--- Revised the normative reference document (see Chapter 2, Chapter 2 of the 2004 edition);

--- "Usage environment" increased the relative humidity of the air (see 5.1.1);

--- Modify the test hedge from "small yellow leaf poplar" to "common shrub or small tree" and modify its specifications (see 5.1.2, 2004 version 6.1.3);

--- Revised the requirements for the test instrument (see 5.1.4, 6.1.2 of the 2004 version);

--- Added test method for "performance of gasoline engine" (see 5.2.2);

--- Increased the requirements and test methods for "no-load reciprocating times of cutting devices" (see 5.3.1);

--- Increased the "maximum pruning diameter" requirements and test methods (see 5.3.2);

--- Increased the requirements for "cutting" and test methods (see 5.3.3);

--- Revised the test method for "tear rate" (see 5.3.4.2, 2004 edition 6.8);

--- Revised the "starting performance" requirements and test methods (see 5.3.5, 2004 editions 5.2.2 and 6.2);

--- Removed "Appendix B (normative appendix) hand vibration frequency weighting characteristic curve" (Appendix B of 2004 edition).

1 Scope

This standard defines the terms and definitions of a hand-held hedge trimmer (hereinafter referred to as "trench hedge") powered by a gasoline engine, which stipulates Model preparation method, technical requirements and test methods, inspection rules, signs, instructions for use, packaging, transportation and storage.

This standard applies to hedge trimmers driven by gasoline engines that use a linear reciprocating cutter to trim hedges.
