JC/T 596-2017 was issued by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on 12 April 2017 and has been in force since 1 October 2017.

It replaces the earlier edition JC/T 596-1995.

2 Scope

This standard specifies the wet grinding mica powder (hereinafter referred to as "mica") classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and signs, packaging, transportation and storage. This standard applies to the selected natural broken muscovite in the water as the medium conditions, the mica powder made by grinding products. Other types of mica powder can also be used as reference.
