1 Foreword

JB/T 9606-2013 was issued by MIIT on 17 October 2013 and has been in force since 1 March 2014.

It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 9606-1999.

2 Scope

JB/T 9606-2013 is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard that fixes the neck of the spindle-end housing of electric drills. It gives the type and the dimensions of that neck, the part of the housing on which an auxiliary handle is clamped. Electric drills, impact drills, rotary hammers and other power tools that take a clamp-type auxiliary handle are the tools it addresses. It quotes GB/T 1804-2000 and replaces JB/T 9606-1999. The standard is classified K64 in the Chinese system and 25.140.20 internationally, and it was issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
