It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 8824.5-1998.

2 Scope
This standard is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard for the circular screwing die used to cut unified threads. It fixes the type and the sizes of the round die, the technical requirements it must satisfy, the performance testing, and the basic rules for marking and packing.
