1 Foreword

JB/T 8783.1-2011 was issued by MIIT on 18 May 2011 and has been in force since 1 August 2011.

It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 8783.1-1998.

It is one of 4 parts of the JB/T 8783 series.

2 Scope

This standard is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard, the first part of the standard for friction screw presses used in brick making. It specifies the geometric accuracy of these presses together with the methods for testing that accuracy. It applies to the friction brick presses used in refractory brick production, including the composite press arrangements it names, which it shortens to press throughout. It replaces JB/T 8783.1-1998 and was issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It carries Chinese classification J62 with international classification 25.120.20, and the two standards it quotes are GB/T 1184-1996 and GB/T 10923-2009.
