JB/T 8640-2014 is the English-translated version of 额定电压26/35kV及以下电力电缆附件型号编制方法.
Power cable accessories for rated voltages up to and including 26/35 kV are given their type designations by JB/T 8640-2014, a recommended standard of the Chinese machinery industry.
It sets out the method by which such a designation is built up. It is used whenever type designations are drawn up for accessories of power cables in that voltage range.
The Chinese classification is K13 and the international classification 29.060.20. It quotes GB/T 12706.4-2008. It replaces JB/T 8640-1997, and having been issued on 6 May 2014 it has applied since 1 October 2014.

JB/T 8640-2014 was issued by MIIT on 6 May 2014 and has been in force since 1 October 2014.
It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 8640-1997.
2 Scope
Power cable accessories for rated voltages up to and including 26/35 kV are given their type designations by JB/T 8640-2014, a recommended standard of the Chinese machinery industry. It sets out the method by which such a designation is built up. It is used whenever type designations are drawn up for accessories of power cables in that voltage range.
