JB/T 8519-2015 was issued by MIIT on 30 April 2015 and has been in force since 1 October 2015.

2 Scope

JB/T 8519-2015 is the recommended Chinese machinery industry standard for the disc brakes fitted to mine hoists and mine winders. It states the basic parameters of these brakes, the technical requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules and the provisions for marking, packaging, transport and storage. Disc brakes for mine hoists and for mine hoisting winches are what it applies to. The standard is classified D93 in the Chinese system and 73.100.40 internationally.
