JB/T 8356.3-1996, part 3 of its series, is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard on the small and medium wooden boxes used in the packing of machine tools. It prescribes the structural form of the box, the technical requirements for it and the marking to be applied. Its field of use is the wooden packaging of tools, parts, accessories and similar items shipped with a machine tool or forwarded separately, where the load does not exceed 500 kg. It quotes JB/T 8356.1 and JB/T 8356.2, and quotes GB 149, GB 153.2 and GB 4817.2. It replaces ZB/T J50019-1990. Issued on 11 April 1996, it has applied since 1 October 1996.
