JB/T 8346-2010 was issued by MIIT on 11 February 2010 and has been in force since 1 July 2010.
It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 8346-1996.
2 Scope
This standard is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard covering the dial indicators fitted to dial calipers. It gives terms and definitions, types and basic parameters, requirements, inspection methods, and rules for marking and packaging. The indicators it applies to are those of dial calipers with graduation values of 0.01 mm, 0.02 mm, 0.05 mm and 0.1 mm. GB/T 17163 and GB/T 17164 are both quoted in the text.
