1 Foreword

JB/T 8259.2-2014 was issued by MIIT on 6 May 2014 and has been in force since 1 October 2014.

It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 8259.2-2000.

It is one of 4 parts of the JB/T 8259 series.

2 Scope

This standard is the recommended Chinese machinery industry standard for the transparencies and transparency frames used with overhead projectors, and it fixes their dimensions. The document gives the terms and definitions for transparency film and for transparency frames, together with the basic requirements that keep a transparency fully compatible with the projector on which it is used. Its scope is limited to type A, type B and type C transmissive overhead projectors and does not extend to other projector types. GB/T 27509-2011 is cited as a normative reference. The 2014 text supersedes JB/T 8259.2-2000.
