1 Foreword

JB/T 7423.2-2011 was issued by MIIT on 18 May 2011 and has been in force since 1 August 2011.

It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 7423.2-1994.

It is one of 5 parts of the JB/T 7423 series.

2 Scope

This standard is the second part of the recommended Chinese machinery industry standard on tapping machines, and it deals with the accuracy testing of the bench tapping machine. The part fixes the requirements for geometric accuracy and precision, and the methods by which they are tested. It applies to general purpose bench tapping machines of ordinary accuracy with a tapping diameter from M3 to M30. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued it; it is classified J56 in the Chinese scheme and 25.080.99 in the international one. Among the standards it quotes are GB/T 197-2003, GB/T 968-2007, GB/T 1031-2009, GB/T 17421.1-1998 and GB/T 20330-2006.
