1 Foreword

JB/T 7271.2-2014 was issued by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China on 9 July 2014 and has been in force since 1 November 2014.

It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 7271.2-1994.

It is one of 11 parts of the JB/T 7271 series.

2 Scope

This standard is the recommended Chinese machinery industry standard for indicating ball knobs, ball-shaped knobs that also show the position to which the control has been set. It gives the type and dimensions of the knob, the marking to be applied and the technical requirements it must satisfy, and it is written for the indicating pattern rather than the plain one. The part is classified J27 and grouped under ICS 25.060.99 with the other machine tool accessories. JB/T 7276 and JB/T 7277 are quoted. It takes the place of JB/T 7271.2-1994.
