Scope

JB/T 6319-2010 is the English-translated version of 电阻器基本技术要求.

JB/T 6319-2010 is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard on the basic technical requirements for resistors, covering terminology, characteristics, normal working and installation conditions, structure, performance and testing. It applies to resistors rated at AC 50 Hz up to 1140 V and DC up to 1500 V, mainly those used for starting, speed control and braking of DC motors, for adjusting circuit parameters such as current, and for turning electrical energy into heat; resistor elements and assemblies are included. Rheostat elements may be used with reference to it, while the change-over and resistance-converting devices of the various rheostats, the slide-wire, excitation and liquid-oil starting rheostats among them, are not covered. It does not apply to frequency-sensitive rheostats or to resistors with other special requirements. It replaces JB/T 6319-1992, carries the Chinese classification K36 and ICS 29.120.99, and quotes GB/T 2828.1-2003 and GB 14048.1-2006 among others.
