JB/T 5082.1-2008 was issued by MIIT on 1 February 2008 and has been in force since 1 July 2008.
It is one of 10 parts of the JB/T 5082 series.
2 Scope
This standard is the first part of a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard on cylinder liners for internal combustion engines, and it is given to the metallographic examination of boron cast iron. It specifies the test methods and the assessment methods for the microstructure of cylinder liners with a boron content from 0.035 % to 0.08 %. The examination it describes applies to the microstructure of internal combustion engine cylinder liners whose cylinder diameter is 160 mm or less.
