JB/T 2938-2008 is the English-translated version of 干式永磁筒式磁选机.
JB/T 2938-2008 is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard for dry permanent magnet drum separators. It fixes the product classification, the technical requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules, and the clauses on marking, labels, the instruction manual, packaging, transport and storage.
The separators it applies to are used mainly to sort strongly magnetic minerals such as magnetite and pyrrhotite whose specific susceptibility is not less than 3000 x 10-6 cm3/g, and they can also serve to take iron out of quartz sand, grain and other non-metallic materials. It replaces JB/T 2938-1999 and is classified as D96 and 73.120.
