Part 2 of the series on double column grinding machines using wide coated abrasive belts sets out the technical specifications of the machine. It applies to the double column (gantry) type of grinding machine that works with wide coated abrasive belts, and complements Part 1, which covers testing of the accuracy.

The part is used by machine tool manufacturers who design and build these machines, by plants that buy and install them, and by technical staff who prepare purchase specifications and carry out acceptance. It is voluntary, as the /T in the code shows. It was approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, issued on 1 June 2026 and takes effect on 1 December 2026. It is a new standard.
