Manufacturers of refrigeration equipment, designers and builders of ice rinks, rink operators, test laboratories and buyers who specify or accept these units use it. It is a voluntary industry standard, as the /T in its code shows. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued it on 28 April 2026, and it takes effect on 2 November 2026. It is a new standard.
