JB/T 11990-2014 is the English-translated version of 天文望远镜.
JB/T 11990-2014 is the recommended machinery industry standard of China for astronomical telescopes. It defines the terms of the instrument and its basic parameters, then the requirements it must meet, the test methods, the inspection rules and the provisions for marking, packaging, transport and storage. The telescopes it addresses are those used for observation in natural light, delimited by the aperture of the objective lens. The standard is classified N34 in the Chinese system and 37.020 in the international one. It quotes GB/T 2828.1, GB/T 2829, GB/T 11162, GB/T 13384, GB/T 25480 and JB/T 9328. Issued on 6 May 2014, it has applied since 1 October 2014.
