2 Scope

Part 4 of the series on safety valves for valve-regulated lead-acid batteries, JB/T 11340.4-2012, is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard dealing with the rubber gaskets and rings used in the safety valve and at the terminals and poles of the battery. It gives terms and definitions for these parts and then their technical requirements, test methods and inspection rules, followed by provisions on marking, packaging, handling and storage. The part carries Chinese classification K84 and international classification 29.220.20. Among the standards it quotes are GB/T 528, GB/T 531.1, GB/T 2941, GB/T 3512 and GB/T 7759-1996.
