What this standard covers

This standard specifies the technical requirements for the sealing performance of general-purpose gasoline engines, describes the corresponding test methods, and specifies the test equipment and inspection rules. This document applies to the manufacture of general-purpose gasoline engines with a rated net power not exceeding 30kW. This document does not apply to gasoline engines for special purposes such as motorcycles and outboard motors.
