This part of the JB/T 10889 series deals with the accuracy inspection of turning-milling machining centers that have a horizontal workholding spindle. It describes how the geometric and working accuracy of this type of machine is checked, so that a machine can be accepted by the buyer or released by the maker on a common basis.

Machine tool manufacturers, quality inspectors, commissioning engineers and users who take delivery of horizontal turning-milling centers will apply it. The standard is voluntary and was approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It was issued on 1 June 2026 and is effective from 1 December 2026. It replaces JB/T 10889.1-2008.
