1 Foreword

JB/T 10819-2008 was issued by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China on 1 February 2008 and has been in force since 1 July 2008.

2 Scope

This standard is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard holding the technical requirements for polyacrylonitrile braided packings. It gives the product model designation, the requirements themselves, the test methods and the inspection rules, and then the provisions for signs, packaging, transport and storage. Two product forms fall within it: polyacrylonitrile braided packing, which the text shortens to braided packing, and the braided packing ring, shortened to packing ring.
