4.1 Marking

1 Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements, marking and packaging of single-start carbide shaving hobs of grades AA, A and B, hereinafter referred to as "hobs".

It applies to carbide shaving hobs of module 2 mm to 30 mm.

2 Normative references

The following documents are indispensable for the application of this document. For dated references, only the edition cited applies. For undated references, the latest edition, including all amendments, applies.

3 Technical requirements

3.1 The surface of the hob shall be free from cracks, chipped edges and other defects that affect its performance in service.

3.2 The surface roughness of the hob shall comply with the surface roughness requirements of GB/T 6084-2001.

3.3 The manufacturing tolerances of the hob shall comply with the accuracy requirements of GB/T 6084-2001.

3.4 The blade material of the hob shall be P20, P30 or another carbide of equivalent performance. The body material is decided by the manufacturer. The hardness of the bore and end faces of the hob shall be not less than 45 HRC.

4 Marking and packaging

4.1 Marking

4.1.1 The product shall be marked with: a) the product trade mark; b) the module; c) the reference tooth profile angle; d) the helix angle at the hob reference circle; e) the hand of the helix (right hand is not marked); f) the original offset value; g) the accuracy grade; h) the code of the blade material; i) the year and month of manufacture.

4.1.2 The certificate of conformity shall bear the designation of this standard.

4.1.3 The packing box shall be marked with: a) the name, address and trade mark of the manufacturer; b) the name of the product; c) the module.
