HG/T 5770-2020 is the recommended Chinese chemical industry standard for catalysts that produce hydrogen by decomposing ammonia. It sets the requirements for such catalysts, the test methods, the inspection rules, the markings, the packaging, transportation and storage, the documents accompanying the product and the safety notices. It applies to the iron-based ammonia cracking catalyst used where ammonia is the feed gas for hydrogen production. GB/T 191, GB/T 6678, GB/T 8170, HG/T 3554 and HG/T 5316 are quoted alongside it. Issued on 9 December 2020, it has applied since 1 April 2021.
