The product is intended as a raw material for industrial phosphate products and must not be used, directly or indirectly, in food, feed or similar fields. A recommended standard of the Chinese chemical industry, it was issued in 2019 and has applied since 1 January 2020.

This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, storage and transportation of glyphosate by-product disodium hydrogen phosphate. This standard applies to disodium hydrogen phosphate produced by wet oxidation, concentration, crystallization, washing and other processes of glyphosate mother liquor. The products are mainly used as raw materials for industrial phosphate series products, and shall not be directly or indirectly used in food, feed and other fields.
