Scope

HG/T 5459-2026 is the English-translated version of 废旧轮胎裂解炭黑.

The document HG/T 5459-2026 deals with carbon black recovered from end-of-life tyres by pyrolysis. It sets out the technical provisions for this reclaimed material, so that the people who produce it and the people who buy it can describe and assess it in the same terms. The English translation gives the complete content of the Chinese original, which belongs to the carbon black work of the rubber standardization committee.

It is of interest to tyre recyclers and pyrolysis plant operators, rubber and carbon black laboratories, and buyers of recovered carbon black for compounding. Because the code carries the /T suffix, it is a voluntary industry standard. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology approved it on 15 July 2026, and it takes effect on 1 February 2027. It replaces the previous edition, HG/T 5459-2018, from that date.

Foreword

HG/T 5459-2026 is a recommended industry standard of the People's Republic of China in the Chemical Industry sector, approved and issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on 15 July 2026, with effect from 1 February 2027.

This edition replaces HG/T 5459-2018.

It is administered by the National Technical Committee for Rubber and Rubber Products Standardization, Carbon Black Subcommittee.
