HG/T 4748-2014 is the English-translated version of 传动带摩擦系数试验方法.

HG/T 4748-2014 is a recommended chemical industry standard that describes how the coefficient of friction of drive belts is tested. It covers light flat belts, flat belts with a polyamide film base no thicker than 0.5 mm, and V-ribbed belts of the PK type, and its scope is limited to those belts. As a method document it defines the friction test alone, without setting product requirements for the belts themselves. Only two standards are quoted, GB/T 2941 and GB/T 17516.2. The classification is G42 in China and 21.220.10 internationally, the heading for belt drives. It was issued on 24 December 2014 and has applied since 1 June 2015.
