HG/T 4625-2014 is the recommended Chinese chemical industry standard for tyre flaps, the rubber bands fitted between the inner tube and the rim in a tyre assembly. It covers the designation of sizes together with the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transport and storage of these products. It applies to flaps for truck tyres, off-the-road tyres and the pneumatic tyres of industrial vehicles. The standard sits under Chinese classification G41 and international classification 83.160.01, and it quotes GB/T 519, GB/T 521, GB/T 528, GB/T 531.1, GB/T 2941, GB/T 6326 and HG/T 2177. Issued on 6 May 2014, it has applied since 1 October 2014.
