HG/T 4485-2012 is the chemical industry standard of China for piperidine for industrial use. It sets the requirements for the product together with the test methods, the inspection rules and the rules for marking, packaging, transport, storage and safety. It applies to industrial piperidine synthesized from pyridine, hydrogen and other raw materials, a compound of formula C5H11N with a relative molecular mass of 85.15 on the 2007 international atomic masses. The text warns that it does not address every safety question raised by the substance and leaves the user to take suitable safety and health measures and to observe national rules. Its methods come from GB 190, GB/T 3143, GB/T 3723, GB/T 4472, GB/T 6283, GB/T 6678, GB/T 6680, GB/T 6682, GB/T 8170 and GB/T 9722. Issued on 28 December 2012, it has applied since 1 June 2013.
