1 Foreword

HG/T 4360-2012 was issued by MIIT on 7 November 2012 and has been in force since 1 March 2013.

2 Scope

HG/T 4360-2012 is the Chinese chemical industry standard that sets out how the speed of certain motion picture films is measured. It defines the method for determining the sensitivity, or speed, of black-and-white optical sound negative film and of high-contrast positive film, together with the technical conditions under which the measurement is made. Its application is limited to those two high-contrast film types used for optical sound work. Classified G80 in China and 37.040.20 internationally, it is a recommended standard. The measurement is carried out with reference to GB/T 11500, GB/T 11501, GB/T 15061 and GB/T 15769. Issued on 7 November 2012, it has applied since 1 March 2013.
