HG/T 4222-2011 is the Chinese chemical industry standard that describes how the low-temperature flexibility of hot melt adhesives is tested. The adhesive is bent over a mandrel and judged on whether it remains flexible at the low temperature set for the test. It applies to hot melt adhesives supplied in sheet form, and it also allows the test environment and the specimen temperature to be adjusted so that flexibility is measured under specified conditions. GB/T 2918-1998 is the document it quotes. The standard is classified under G39 in the Chinese system and under 83.180 internationally, among the adhesives. Issued on 20 December 2011, it has applied since 1 July 2012.
