HG/T 4221-2011 is the Chinese chemical industry standard for two-component silicone rubber that vulcanizes at room temperature and is used to make moulds. It sorts the product into types and fixes the requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules and the provisions on marking, packaging, transport and storage. It covers the addition-cure and condensation-cure mould-making grades, used as moulding materials in building decoration, handicrafts, imitation mahogany furniture, precision casting, high frequency embossing, the copying of artefacts and the production of gypsum board. Moulds made from them serve in turn to produce articles of polyurethane, unsaturated polyester, epoxy resin, wax, plaster and low melting point alloys. It is applied with GB/T 191-2008, GB/T 528-2009, GB/T 529-2008, GB/T 531.1-2008, GB/T 2794-1995 and HG/T 2198-1991. Issued on 20 December 2011, it has applied since 1 July 2012.
