HG/T 3846-2008 is the English-translated version of 硬质橡胶硬度的测定.

HG/T 3846-2008 is the recommended Chinese chemical industry standard for determining the hardness of ebonite. It describes how the hardness of hard rubber is measured by pressing a ball into the material under a specified load. It applies to hard rubber of the various grades, including the chemically resistant, heat resistant and impact resistant types. It is a modified adoption of ISO 2039-1-1993 and quotes GB/T 2941. It replaces the earlier edition HG/T 3846-2006. Issued on 1 February 2008, it has applied since 1 July 2008.
