Scope
HG/T 3841-2006 is the English-translated version of 塑料冲击性能小试样试验方法.
Small test specimens are the point of HG/T 3841-2006, a recommended chemical industry standard of China that determines the impact properties of plastics using a Charpy impact testing machine. The method is set up so that impact strength can be measured on samples too small for the ordinary specimen size. It applies to rigid thermoplastics and to thermosetting plastics, but as a rule it is not suitable for reinforced plastics. GB/T 1039, GB/T 1043 and GB/T 2918 are quoted and used with it, and the standard is filed under the Chinese classification G31 and the international classifications 83.080.01 and 83.040.01. It replaces GB/T 16420-1996. Issued on 27 July 2006, it has applied since 11 October 2006.
