Scope
HG/T 3840-2006 is the English-translated version of 塑料弯曲性能小试样试验方法.
HG/T 3840-2006 is the recommended Chinese chemical industry standard for measuring the flexural properties of plastics on small specimens. It sets out the requirements for applying a static three-point bending load to such a specimen and for determining the flexural behaviour from it. The method is written for rigid thermoplastics and rigid solid plastics, and it is generally not suitable for reinforced plastics. It quotes GB/T 1039, GB/T 2918 and GB/T 9341. The standard takes the place of GB/T 16419-1996, and it falls under the Chinese classification G31 with the international headings 83.080.01 and 83.040.01. Issued on 27 July 2006, it has applied since 11 October 2006.
