HG/T 3832-2006 is the English-translated version of 自行车用面漆.
Topcoats for bicycles are covered by HG/T 3832-2006, a recommended standard of the Chinese chemical industry. The standard classifies these paints and fixes their technical requirements, test methods and inspection rules, as well as the rules on marking, packaging, transport, storage, safety, health and environmental protection. It applies to finishing paints made by grinding resins, pigments, solvents and additives, used as the surface coat on bicycles. Among the methods it quotes are GB/T 1727, GB/T 1728, GB/T 1732, GB/T 1733, GB 3186, GB/T 6739, GB/T 9274, GB/T 9286, GB/T 9750, GB/T 9754 and GB/T 15894. It is a non-equivalent adoption of JIS K5652-1983 and it replaces GB/T 11183-1989. Issued on 27 July 2006, it has applied since 11 October 2006.
