Scope

HG/T 3508-2010 is the English-translated version of 乳化剂S-80.

HG/T 3508-2010 is the recommended Chinese chemical industry standard for emulsifier S-80. It lays down the technical requirements, the sampling and the test methods, the inspection rules, and the rules for marking, packaging, transportation and storage. The product it covers is sorbitan oleate, obtained by esterifying sorbitan with oleic acid; it serves mainly as a water-in-oil emulsifier and a dispersing agent, and is used in the chemical, textile, machinery, petroleum and mining industries. Its classification is G73 in the Chinese scheme and 71.100.40 in the international one. It is applied with GB/T 6365, GB/T 7383, GB/T 11275 and HG/T 3505. It replaces HG/T 3508-1999. Issued on 22 November 2010, it has applied since 1 March 2011.
