HG/T 3239-2009 is a recommended standard of the Chinese chemical industry dealing with the flat grinding machine used in pigment work. It sets the basic parameters of the apparatus along with its technical requirements, the test methods and the inspection rules, and it covers marking, packaging, transport and storage. The machine it describes is the automatic grinding apparatus on which colour pigments are worked up so that their colour can be compared against an agreed sample. GB/T 1724, GB/T 15464 and JB/T 9329 are the standards quoted in the text, which was issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It supersedes HG/T 3239-1987. Issued on 4 December 2009, it has applied since 1 June 2010.
