HG/T 3038-2023 is the Chinese chemical industry specification for rubber hoses and hose assemblies used for oil suction and discharge. It fixes the performance of four types of hose and hose assembly used to carry petroleum, including crude oil and other liquid petroleum products, each type being divided into three groups according to aromatic content. Hose assemblies complying with the standard may be used over a temperature range of -20 °C to +80 °C, and the nominal bore covered runs from 50 mm to 500 mm, with smooth bore, rough bore, armoured rough bore and lightweight constructions. Carriage of liquefied petroleum gas and liquefied natural gas is excluded. The standard supersedes HG/T 3038-2008 and HG/T 3039-2008; it was issued on 28 July 2023 and took effect on 1 February 2024.

Each type is divided into 3 groups based on aromatic content. This standard does not apply to the transportation of liquefied petroleum gas and liquefied natural gas. Hose assemblies that comply with this standard can be used in the temperature range of -20 �� ~ +80 ��. The specified nominal inner diameter of the hose ranges from 50 to 500mm, and can be smooth inner wall, rough inner wall, armored rough inner wall and lightweight.
