HG/T 2856-1997 is the English-translated version of 甲哌（金旁加翁）原药.

HG/T 2856-1997 is a recommended chemical industry standard of China covering mepiquat technical, the technical-grade form of the active substance. It sets the requirements for the product and the test methods that go with them, and it covers marking, labelling, packaging, storage and transport. What it applies to is the technical material made up of mepiquat itself together with the impurities left in it by the production process. The standard quotes GB/T 601, GB/T 1604, GB/T 1605 and GB 3796, and is classified G25 in the Chinese scheme. It takes over from the earlier national standard GB 9555-1988. Issued on 11 March 1997, it has applied since 1 January 1998.
