Scope

HG/T 2500-2011 is the English-translated version of 乳化剂S-60.

HG/T 2500-2011 is the recommended Chinese chemical industry standard for emulsifier S-60. It fixes the technical requirements for the product and the matching test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transport and storage. The emulsifier it covers is prepared by esterifying sorbitan with stearic acid, and it is used mainly in the textile, paint and leather industries as an emulsifying agent, dispersant, thickener, softener and dyeing auxiliary. GB/T 6365-2006, GB/T 7383-2007, GB/T 11275-2007 and HG/T 3505-2000 are cited in its text. The standard replaces HG/T 2500-1993. Issued on 20 December 2011, it has applied since 1 July 2012.
