Scope
HG/T 2487-2011 is the English-translated version of 橡胶胶丝试验方法.
HG/T 2487-2011 collects the test methods for rubber threads, and is an identical adoption of ISO 2321:2006. It sets out the methods for determining the general physical and mechanical properties of the rubber, and adds methods for the particular mechanical behaviour of the thread when it is in contact with fabric. Because the cross-section of the thread is small and its service conditions are specific, a number of special test methods are provided. The threads it applies to are made from natural rubber or from synthetic polyisoprene; for threads of certain synthetic rubbers, such as polyurethane, some methods are not fully applicable. ISO 37, ISO 105-A02, ISO 105-A03, ISO 188, ISO 648, ISO 1042, ISO 1183-2 and ISO 23529 are quoted. It replaces HG/T 2487-2003. Issued on 20 December 2011, it has applied since 1 July 2012.
