1 Scope

GB/Z 40893.1-2021 is the Chinese national standard on specification for operation technologies of traditional chinese medicine - pediatrics - part 1:internal treatments, in the field of health care technology. The /Z suffix marks it as a guiding technical document: it does not prescribe requirements that can be certified against, but sets out the technique, the method or the state of the art that the standards bodies recommend following. 3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Decoction A liquid preparation prepared by decoction or immersion in boiling water of the decoction pieces and filtering to obtain the filtrate. Note

3.4 Fluidextractandconcrete The prepared pieces are extracted with a suitable solvent, part or all of the solvent is evaporated, and adjusted to a prescribed concentration.

3.5 Tincture The clarified liquid preparation made by extracting or dissolving the raw material medicine with ethanol of prescribed concentration can also be made by diluting the liquid extract.
