This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part
1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" Drafting. This document is the first part of GB /Z 40893 "Technical Practice of Traditional Chinese Medicine Pediatrics". GB /Z 40893 has released the following part.
1.Internal medicine and administration methods for children;
2.Commonly used external therapy in children;
3.Pediatric acupuncture and moxibustion therapy;
4.Pediatric massage therapy;
5.Pediatric cupping therapy;
6.Children's lighting method. Please note that some of the contents of this document may involve patents. The issuing agency of this document is not responsible for identifying patents. This document was proposed by the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine. This document is under the jurisdiction of the National Standardization Technical Committee of Traditional Chinese Medicine (SAC/TC478). Drafting organizations of this document. This document specifies the operation steps and requirements of oral Chinese medicine decoction, oral Chinese patent medicine, traditional Chinese medicine nasal feeding method, and Chinese medicine rectal administration method, and Gives precautions and contraindications. This document is applicable to the technical operations of pediatric oral TCM decoctions, oral TCM patent medicines, nasal feeding of TCM medicines, and rectal administration of TCM medicines.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Decoction A liquid preparation prepared by decoction or immersion in boiling water of the decoction pieces and filtering to obtain the filtrate. Note
1.Those who use crude decoction pieces as medicine are also known as "cooked powder", and those who soak the medicine in boiling water and drink it irregularly from time to time, commonly known as "drink". Note
2.The decoction is mainly used for oral administration, nasal feeding, and enema. It can also be used for gargle, bath, and fumigation.
3.2 Mixture The oral liquid preparations made by extracting the pieces with water or other solvents using appropriate methods.
Note. Single-dose filling can also be called "oral liquid".
3.3 Syrup Concentrated sucrose aqueous solution containing raw materials.
3.4 Fluidextractandconcrete The prepared pieces are extracted with a suitable solvent, part or all of the solvent is evaporated, and adjusted to a prescribed concentration.
3.5 Tincture The clarified liquid preparation made by extracting or dissolving the raw material medicine with ethanol of prescribed concentration can also be made by diluting the liquid extract.
