3 Requirements

3.1 Appearance

The surface of the board should be smooth, free of air bubbles, wrinkles, cracks and appropriate to avoid other defects, such as. scratches, indentations, stains, etc., allowing a small amount of spots.

3.2 Size

3.2.1 The allowable deviation of width and length shall comply with the requirements of Table 1.

Table 1 Width and length in millimeters

Width and length deviation 450~990 ±15 >990~1980 ±25

3.2.2 The nominal thickness and its allowable deviation shall comply with the requirements of Table 2.

Table 2 nominal thickness and its allowable deviation unit is mm

Nominal thickness deviation 0.5 ± 0.12 0.6 ±0.13 0.8 ± 0.16 1.0 ±0.18 1.2 ±0.20 1.6 ±0.24 Nominal thickness deviation 2.0 ±0.28 2.5 ± 0.33 3.0 ±0.37 4.0 ± 0.45 5.0 ±0.52 6.0 ±0.60 Nominal thickness deviation 8.0 ±0.72 10 ±0.82 12 ±0.94 14 ±1.02 16 ± 1.12 20 ±1.30 Nominal thickness deviation 25 ± 1.50 30 ± 1.70 35 ± 1.95 40 ± 2.10 45 ± 2.30 50 ± 2.45

Note 1. Other allowable deviations can be negotiated between the supplier and the buyer.

NOTE 2. For a nominal thickness not listed as one of the preferred thicknesses listed, the allowable deviation shall be the deviation of the next larger preferred thickness.
