Scope

GB/T 9966.10-2021 is the English-translated version of 天然石材试验方法 第10部分:挂件组合单元抗震性能的测定.

GB/T 9966.10-2021 is Part 10 of the Chinese test methods for natural stone and describes how to assess the resistance to shaking of individual anchorage units used in dry-hung stone cladding.

Five stone and anchor assemblies are loaded and unloaded intermittently on a shaking test bench for 100,000 cycles, their appearance is checked for loosening or detachment, and their anchorage strength is then measured by the method of GB/T 9966.7 and compared with five reference assemblies.

The document specifies the testing machine, fixture, test bench, rubber pads and vernier calipers, the 300 mm by 300 mm stone specimens, the test procedure, the calculation of the result and the content of the test report.

It is used by stone testing laboratories. It was issued on 30 April 2021 and has applied since 1 November 2021.

1 Scope

This part of GB/T 9966 specifies the principle, test equipment, specimen preparation, and testing procedures for the seismic performance test of a single stone hanging component unit. Test procedures, test results, and test reports.

This section applies to the determination of the seismic performance of individual hanging components of dry-hanging natural stone.

2 Normative references

The following documents are essential for the application of this document. For dated references, only the version cited applies to this document. For any undated referenced document, the latest version (including all amendments) applies to this document.

3 Principles

By continuously loading and unloading a specified load on a single component assembly unit, the performance of the component assembly unit after 100,000 loading and unloading cycles was measured.

The seismic performance of individual mounting units is assessed by examining changes in appearance and mounting strength.

4 Test Equipment

4.1 Testing machine

The relative error of the indicated value is ±1%, and the failure load of the specimen should be within 20% to 90% of the indicated value of the equipment.

4.2 Test fixture

When loaded to the maximum load, its deformation should not exceed 1 mm and its torsion should be less than 2°.

4.3 Seismic test bench

The testing equipment should consist of a testing platform, fixtures, force application mechanism, control system, and protection devices.

The test platform should include a sliding platform, and the platform should be equipped with a vibration mechanism to ensure that the specimen is not rigidly locked to the platform (simulating building vibration).

When the test is loaded to the maximum load, the deformation of the test platform should not exceed 1 mm, and the torsion should be less than 2°.

The equipment should include at least 5 test stations, and all 5 stations should be able to apply force simultaneously.

The force-applying mechanism can intermittently provide.200N±2N of horizontal or vertical tensile and compressive force to the hanger assembly unit; seismic test The force application speed at each station of the machine should be able to meet the requirements of 50 mm/s to 500 mm/s, and the stroke tolerance within the working range should not exceed +1.0 mm.

The testing equipment should be able to set and display test data such as vibration frequency, vibration number, and vibration force.

4.4 Rubber pads

Conform to the requirements of GB/T 5574, with a hardness of H5 or H6.

4.5 Vernier calipers

Accurate to 0.1 mm.

5 Sample Preparation

5.1 The stone sample should be 300 mm ± 1.0 mm in length, 300 mm ± 1.0 mm in width, and the thickness should be the actual thickness used; the stone sample should not have any defects. Defects affecting strength, such as cracks, missing edges, and chipped corners, are removed; slots or holes are machined according to actual usage requirements; each group of samples consists of 10 pieces, of which 5 are used as reference samples.

5.2 The hanging parts are the actual hanging parts used in the project, with a quantity of 10 pieces.

5.3 According to the actual requirements of the project, the stone and the hanging parts are combined into a hanging part unit, and the dry hanging adhesive is cured under laboratory conditions.

6 Experimental Procedure

6.1 Fix the five test samples onto the seismic test bench and clamp them securely. Rubber pads should be placed between the clamps and the stone. The load is then fixed onto the hanger. The component assembly unit is intermittently subjected to a vertical tensile force or compressive force of 200N ± 2N, with a total of 100,000 cycles. The tensile or compressive force used in the test should be determined according to the type of accessory, selecting the weakest point. After the test, observe and describe any changes in appearance, and whether the accessory has become loose or fallen off.

6.2 Place 5 test samples and 5 reference samples in distilled water at 20°C ± 2°C for 48 hours, then remove them and rinse with a wrung-out wet cloth. Wipe the moisture off the sample surface with a towel.

6.3 Fix 5 test samples and 5 reference samples on the platform respectively, and test the unit mounting strength of the pendant assembly according to the test method specified in GB/T 9966.7.

6.4 Record the maximum load at failure, accurate to 10 N, and describe the failure state.

6.5 Use vernier calipers to measure the dimensions of the damaged parts of the sample, such as groove width, groove depth, hole diameter, and hole depth, accurate to 0.1 mm.

7 Test Results

Seismic performance is calculated according to formula (1). […]

8 Test Report

The test report should include at least the following information

a) The commercial name of the stone as specified in GB/T 17670;

b) Sample quantity, specifications, surface finish, type, model, and specifications of the hangers, and type and model of the dry-hanging adhesive.

c) The name and address of the laboratory where the test was conducted; if the test was not conducted in a testing laboratory, the location of the test should be noted.

e) The specimen is subjected to either a horizontal or vertical loading method;

f) Changes in the seismic appearance of each test sample;

g) The maximum destructive load and failure state of each test specimen;

h) The maximum destructive load and failure state of each reference sample;

i) Average maximum destructive load of the test sample and the reference sample, in N;

j) Seismic performance,%.
