Foreword

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents".

This document replaces GB/T 9910-2008 "Through Holes in Frames of Marine External Single-Leaf Doors". Compared with GB/T 9910-2008, the only differences are in the structural design.

Aside from integration and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.

a) The term "door frame through hole" and its definition have been added (see 3.1);

b) A rounded corner flat steel door frame with through holes has been added (see Figure 1);

c) The nominal dimensions and footnotes for the through holes in the door frame have been modified (see Table 1, Table 1 in the 2008 edition).

This document modifies and adopts ISO 3796:2023 "External single-leaf door through-holes for ships and marine technology". This document is consistent with ISO 3796:2023. The technical differences and their reasons are as follows.

b) The term "through hole" is changed to "door frame through hole" (see 3.1) to more clearly define the object of the term;

c) The nominal dimensions of the through holes in the door frame have been increased to. 1200×650, 1200×700, 1400×650, 1400×700, 1500×700.

1500×800, 1600×650, 1600×700, 1600×800, 1650×650, 1650×700, 1700×700 1700×800 and 1800×800 (see Table 1) are available to cover and meet the actual usage needs of this product in the shipbuilding industry. The following editorial changes have been made to this document.

---The standard name has been changed to "Through-hole in the frame of a marine external single-leaf door" to align with existing standards.

3 Terms and Definitions

3.1 Clear opening of door frame

The net opening dimensions of the inner height (L) and width (B) of the door frame.

Based on the door frame design, the through holes in the door frame are designed to be either square or rounded (with a radius of R), as shown in Table 1.

To prevent cracking, it is recommended to use fillets with a radius R of 100mm.

Calculations should be performed and rounded corner gates should be selected at stress concentration points caused by longitudinal bending of the ship.

Figure 1 shows the through holes for different types of door frames.

a) Through hole in rounded corner angle steel door frame b) Through hole in square corner angle steel door frame c) Through hole in rounded corner flat steel door frame
