GB/T 9792-2003 — This standard specifies the determination of metal conversion coating mass per unit area method. This method is applicable to: phosphate film on the steel, zinc and cadmium on the phosphate film, aluminum and aluminum phosphate film on, zinc and cadmium chromate film on, chromate on aluminum and aluminum alloys membranes.

This method applies only without any additional coating layer (e. g. film, water-based or solvent -based wax, a polymer film or film) of the conversion coating.

This method does not specify the measurement zone of the bare spots existence or conversion coating thickness is less than the minimum thickness of the site.

In addition, each measuring surface of the obtained number of individual values ??are within the range of the measurement plane average film thickness of the conversion, it is impossible for such an individual measurements further mathematical analysis, such as the purpose of the statistical test.
