Foreword

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part

1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents". Drafting. This document replaces GB/T 9193-2005 "Shipboard Audible and Visual Alarm Signals and Identification Marks". Compared with GB/T 9193-2005, except for the conclusion... Aside from structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

a) This document covers "offshore mobile drilling rigs" (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the.2005 edition);

b) The term "alarm" has been changed to "alarm," and the definition has been revised (see 3.1,.2005 edition).

c) The definitions of terms such as "emergency alarm," "control system fault alarm," "fire detection alarm," and "grouping" have been changed (see 3.1.1, 3.1.2.3,...). 3.1.2.9, 3.8 (3.2, 3.3.3, 3.3.7,

3.10 in the.2005 edition);

d) The term "general emergency alarm" has been changed to "general emergency alarm," and the definition has been revised (see 3.1.1.1,

3.2.1 of the.2005 version);

e) The term "water ingress detection main alarm" has been added (see 3.1.1.3);

f) The term "extinguishing agent alarm" has been changed to "extinguishing agent pre-release alarm," and the definition has been revised (see 3.1.1.4,.2005 edition). 3.2.3);

1 Scope

GB/T 9193-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering the alarms on board - which sound and which light means fire, general emergency, abandon ship or CO2 release, their audibility above the engine room noise and their marking, so that a crew that changes every few months reacts correctly the first time. Issued on 2 December 2025, it has been in force since 1 July 2026, replacing GB/T 9193-2005.

This document specifies the general requirements for shipboard audible and visual alarm signals and identification markings, the auditory presentation of alarms and calls, and the visual presentation of instructions and calls. Sensory presentation, characteristics, requirements for specific alarms, and the grouping and aggregation of alarms and indicators. This document applies to internal shipboard auditory alarms, visual alarms, call systems, and other safety measures related to the safety of passengers, crew, or the vessel, equipment, and cargo. Settings for indicators, etc.

3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 alarm It broadcasts any abnormal situations and statuses that require attention.

Note. Alarms are divided into four types in order of priority. emergency alarm, alarm, warning, and alert.

3.1.1 Emergency alarm An alarm is issued indicating an imminent danger to human life or to the ship and its machinery, requiring immediate action.
