Scope
GB/T 9138-2015 is the English-translated version of 回弹仪.
GB/T 9138-2015 is the Chinese national product standard for the rebound test hammer used to estimate concrete strength on site.
It fixes the terms and definitions, the classification, symbols and marks, the requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules and the marking, packaging and storage, and applies to six hammers of nominal energy 9.800 J, 5.500 J, 4.500 J, 2.207 J, 0.735 J and 0.196 J. Its definitions include the free length and the stroke length of the impact spring, the rebound number, the nominal energy and the impact energy, and the 2015 edition adds requirements for digital rebound hammers.
Annex A describes a hammer impact energy test method and normative annex B the steel anvil. It replaces GB/T 9138-1988, was issued on 15 May 2015 and has applied since 1 December 2015.

Foreword
This standard was drafted in accordance with GB/T 1.1-2009 given rules.
This standard replaces GB/T 9138-1988 "Hammer." The main technical differences between standard compared with GB/T 9138-1988 as follows.
--- Hammer modified terms and definitions;
--- Hammer modified classification;
--- Delete the original standard impact energy is 29.430J Hammer specifications and requirements (the original standard of Table 1 and 5.2.4);
--- Nominal increase energy 9.800J, 5.500J, 4.500J Hammer and 0.196J four kinds of specifications and requirements;
--- Increased digital Hammer requirements;
--- Increasing the quality hammer shells, shells hit extension spring stiffness requirements;
--- Remove the products and services promise (formerly standard 5.8);
--- Remove the product's three quality grades (original standard Table 2);
--- Hammer no longer on the mechanical requirements (the original standard 6.1 to 6.3) high temperature, low temperature and impact test;
--- Increase the informative appendix "Hammer impact energy test methods" (see Appendix A).
1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions Hammer, classification, symbols and marks, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging and Storage.
This standard applies to nominal energy 9.800J, 5.500J, 4.500J, 2.207J, 0.735J and 0.196J six hammer.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.7 With a rebound value scale digital display and memory function Hammer, and both data processing, printing, and data transfer from the instrument
3.1 Shells hit extension spring free length
Shells hit extension spring can produce length elongation portion is completely free state.
3.2 Shells hit extension spring shock length
Stretching the length of the shells hit extension spring when the bomb hit the hammer.
3.3 Rebound values
Hammer bouncing bombs and shells hit extension spring from the impact of full-scale value multiplied by the ratio of the length of the scale.
3.4 Nominal energy
Without considering the shells hit extension spring assembly deformed condition, shells hit extension spring tensile deformation equal to the length of the impact of the length of the storage shells hit extension spring Potential energy.
3.5 Impact energy hammer
When the bomb hit the hammer and the fillip bar, playing the hammer fillip bar to pass through the energy of the test surface.
3.6 Indication
Indication engraved lines on the scale is read directly from the instrument out of Hammer rebound values through pointers slider.
