GB/T 9089.4-2026 is the English-translated version of 户外严酷条件下的电气设施第4部分：装置要求.

Part 4 of the series on electrical installations for outdoor sites under heavy conditions concentrates on requirements for the installation itself. It is meant for electrical designers, contractors, site engineers and owners of facilities where wiring and equipment are exposed to harsh outdoor environments, as well as the inspectors who check that such installations are fit for use.

The edition was issued on 28 September 2026 and takes effect on 1 April 2027. It replaces GB/T 9089.4-2008, so projects that were specified against the older edition should be checked against the current text before new work is tendered or commissioned. The standard is published as a recommended national standard under the responsibility of the China Electrical Equipment Industry Association. Foreword

GB/T 9089.4-2026 is a recommended national standard (GB/T) of the People's Republic of China, issued on 28 September 2026 by the State Administration for Market Regulation and the Standardization Administration of China, with effect from 1 April 2027.

This edition replaces GB/T 9089.4-2008.

It is under the responsibility of the China Electrical Equipment Industry Association.
